By definition, a hater is someone who dislikes a specific person or thing; a very critical person. Haters come in various forms – friends, frienemies, real enemies, and your own inner self-doubt. Comments like, “You will never be good enough,” “You can’t do that,” and “You are nothing” characterize haters.
They sow doubt, fear, and death of dreams. If you want to achieve great things, you must learn to put the haters on mute. In other words, don’t listen to voices which constantly tear you down.
President Obama is an excellent model of putting haters on mute. He remains calm whether a hater is calling him “Osama” or wagging a finger in his face. He does not pay attention to them or join their fight. They called him names during his first presidential campaign, first term in office, second presidential campaign, second term in office, and they are still calling him names.
